What a fun and windy time at the church picnic! It was a beautiful day in San Diego and the wind was blowing as we sat down to worship. The Thurber family (Kelly, Eric, Max, Elijah and Jack) were visiting and decided to come to the picnic. They have three boys with little Max looking so grown up!! I remember holding him as a toddler.

We had delicious food as Grillmaster Quint made perfectly seasoned hamburgers and brats. Jane brought a really good salad and Gretchen made a chili that was sooo good. Also, Liz whipped up four different cookies and Linda with her caramel brownies…yum!! Besides all of that goodness we had great fellowship as laughter was heard from each group. It was fitting the sermon was about rejoicing as people of God! We listened!!

Providence sounded so beautiful seaside and Ivy sung like a pink satin clad Angel! If you ever go to just one event make it the picnic; it’s always a great time. Our next event is Brats and Bingo in November and then we will have our Christmas Village event in December. I would like to get children’s toys donations for that so we can raffle them. Thank you so much! If you would like to volunteer let Susan know in the office! We will find a perfect spot for you in our church puzzle.

Thank you and Many Blessings,
