"Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." 1 Corinthians 15:58
What a beautiful promise we are given when we are reminded that when we work for the Lord all things are possible. In this last year, I have faced some difficult times in my personal and professional life. But I continue turning to Our Lord and asking Him what He would have me be. In those quiet moments, He directs my thinking and opens my heart to an answer. Sometimes it's easy and flows other times it's rough and tumultuous. But always in the end it works out. God is amazing that way. In our darkest times He is waiting for us to lean on Him and make room for him to work through us.
I'm a firm believer that if you build it, they will come. With that being said we are definitely building on some things. We have a new website set up to launch with an app very soon and need some volunteers to help coordinate its execution. Pam and Roger Redman have done a phenomenal job on it thus far but more work is needed to be done in the future. If anyone would like to get involved we will be setting up a Sunday after 2nd service to establish ideas and a committee. This will give us a chance for fellowship and another reason to have food together, too.
On the topic of food, we will be having our annual Church Picnic on September 26th at Ski Beach from 12-3pm. Please come and enjoy this beautiful weather while listening to Providence and hearing God’s word.
Our youth are also planning a yard sale in the upper parking lot on September 11th from 8-12pm. Yet another great opportunity to gather and support our future. They are all such amazing individuals with such pure hearts.
On a final note, we have an Elder position that needs to be filled. I ask that you pray for our leaders and if you feel guided to serve please let me know. It has been one of my biggest honors and privilege to be an Elder. What a great way to be of service and truly do the Lord's work.
God's Richest Blessings, Jessica Tuiletufuga Head Elder
