Today’s text focuses on God’s saving work of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. It is a beautiful prayer of praise to our God who has delivered to us every gift of the Spirit including salvation through the gift of our baptisms.
It is in the form of a Hebrew “Berakah” prayer. There is no command or exhortation to God’s people. It is pure doxology. God’s saving work is the focus. The people of God are only mentioned as beneficiaries.
