Today Luke gives us the only insight into the life of Jesus in his early days that is recorded in Scripture. Twelve-year-old Jesus makes the trip to Jerusalem to celebrate the Passover with His parents and what was more than likely a large group of friends and relatives.
After the Passover feast, His parents start back to Nazareth. After a day journey, they realize Jesus is not with them. His parents return to Jerusalem and find Jesus in the Temple courts talking with the priests. His parents are upset and say how could you treat your father and me like this?
Jesus responds with a couple of questions of His own. Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know I must be about My Father’s business?
Join us as we ponder what it means that Jesus is Mary’s little boy while at the same time the eternal second person of the Trinity.
