Luke 21:5-28

As we prepare to move into a new church year, we leave the last year looking into the future when Jesus will return. Jesus is speaking with His disciples and He tells them them some things that will happen on those last days. He tells them, “Don’t be afraid.”

I call my sermon here we go again because people are always trying to read into these words of Jesus and convince us that this prophesy is for our times.  Every time a prediction has been made it has been wrong. But that doesn’t stop them. They keep on trying anyway.

Why?   Why do they keep on trying to guess and convince anyone willing to listen they are right this time.  I think it is because it is a deep human condition to hope, hope that things will get better.  Join us today as we look to God’s Word for answers to our longing for a better life.
